Anyone can learn to solder and make cool things with microcontrollers! Even if you've never even sewn a button, you can actually make a fun, intriguing project at PlumberCon. Blink lights, hack your brain, play video games, make noise, make music, turn off TVs in public places - microcontrollers can do it all.
Mitch and Jimmie can teach anyone to solder! Learn all this and more by making something cool at the con that you can take home with you.
Mitch Altman has taught thousands to solder and make cool things at hacker cons and Maker Fairs around the world. He's also known for inventing TV-B-Gone, his Brain Machine project, his contributions to MAKE Magazine and 2600, as well as co-founding Noisebridge, a San Francisco hackerspace.
Jimmie P. Rodgers has taught thousands to solder and make cool Arduino and noise projects. Since quitting his job he has been making a living as a full-time hacker, traveling the world to teach his love of electronics. He is also co-founder of Artisan's Asylum, a new hackerspace in Boston.
